I always wanted to share about something on the internet. To let a virtual mark of my own somehow but I have also been afraid to do so as well since I'm used to showcasing things that are "perfect" if I can say it like that. You know, the type of work where everyone is looking at it without having much to questions coming. It's probably because of how school thought me to present my work to receive good grades... with potentially a dash of "imposter syndrome". Like I have less interesting things and knowledge than my peer to talk about and share with the world.
The truth is, I want to change that perception of mine. I know that I still have plenty to learn about and discover and I also know that some of my opinion and all can be wrong sometimes, but this blog should be about that. Sharing what I think and hopefully exchanging opinions with other people interested in what I have to say.
I decided to officially start my first ever blog because of this book: Show your work! 10 ways to share your creativity and get discovered by Austin Kleon.
It's a really good book so far and I'm right in the middle of a chapter about sharing and getting yourself a good domain name. In my case, I paid for my domain name for the past 10 years now without ever really using it all. Instead of just reading the chapter and telling myself how great an advice it was without doing anything about it, I went to my laptop, modified my old website, and started to write. After all, with the pandemic still going for who knows how many more months (if not years), why not try to reach people from around the world in the comfort of my home.
Now, there are things that I hope to achieve with that blog and there are things that I want to achieve with that blog.
Now, as you might not know me at all, throughout my blogs, you will potentially read a lot about books I've read, movies I've watched, games I've played, pictures that I've taken, and more. But more importantly, about what I think was great about the ones the one that I've shared here. My take on how they are a good influence worth looking at.
You will see how I have a hard time to finish single-player games and how I really like competitive shooters. You will see how much I like to read about personal growth and how I want to watch movies and tv shows that bring complex stories to the screen. I'm also really interested in comic books but most of the time, comics that are not about superheroes.
I hope you will have a good time here, that you will interact with me and more importantly, I hope I will stick to it, and just like that, my first blog post is now live!
